Comedian and comedy scriptwriter Barry Took, who co-wrote many comedy shows with Marty Feldman, has passed away. Scripts for 'Take It From Here' and 'Beyond Our Ken' became the foundation of a career which led to the creation of 'Dad's Army' and 'Monty Python's Flying Circus' (which the BBC were originally going to call 'Baron von Took's Flying Circus') for television. Barry Took was 73.
Kenneth Wolstenholme has passed away at the age of 81. For more than 20 years he was the BBC's voice of football on television, commentating on the FA Cup final, World Cup and internationals. He will be remembered by most for uttering the words "they think it's all over, it is now" during England's 1966 World Cup win at Wembley.
